Making the call is always the first step…and many times the hardest step for a parent. We understand that your child may have been struggling for some time and that can be very stressful on the entire family. Whether you are already clear as to what your child’s needs may be, have been referred for a particular reason, or simply have questions, we urge you to wait no longer – make the call – our “warm line” is here to help. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is available by phone to provide insight and information prior to setting up an actual appointment for assessment.
Assessment & Consult Process
Our consultation and assessment processes help us determine your child’s strengths and challenges in various skill areas, thus enabling us to create a “road map” of how to proceed and with which appropriate therapies. We also find it extremely helpful to observe a child to better understand his or her behaviors and levels of motivation and cooperation. Classroom consultations can be incorporated into this process as needed. Test score comparisons to other same age children might also be helpful in developing a baseline.
