We are currently effectively treating and educating children and their families via Zoom telehealth sessions.
To learn more about these sessions, we invite you to view the Zoom videos below to hear from two of our therapists. They explain how and why telehealth is working, how it benefits the kiddos and parents, and how it could likely become a tool used in the future in conjunction with in-clinic therapy.
Naomi, one of our pediatric occupational therapists, explains the benefits she has discovered, of the use of “telehealth” sessions as a way of continuing support for children and parents during this “stay-at-home” period. Not only are the sessions beneficial for the children, but parents are learning how to support their children on a day by day basis, by carrying over the therapeutic work at home, giving them a much needed sense of empowerment. She strongly believes that telehealth will be a tool they continue to use even after the clinic re-opens.
Sarah, a pediatric occupational therapist who has been with Child Success Center for 14 years, talks about the transition to telehealth during the Covid-19 “shelter-at-home” period. Not only has it gone smoothly with highly effective results, but she sees a place for teletherapy under some circumstances going forward, after the Center re-opens for in-person services.
