TESTIMONIALS

K-Readiness Camp was a huge success! Hear what our parents are saying...

“They learned so much! Ali is already using all of her letters! They wrote you these thank you notes all by themselves!”
-- Ali & Michael's Mom

“Owen loved the camp.  We feel very fortunate that we found this class.  Owen got a lot out of it.  He still does not know all of his letters but seems much more prepared for kindergarten in a few weeks.  He loved everything about camp.
If I had another child I would send them back there.  I will definitely recommend this camp to all my friends.
Owen learned what kindergarten is going to be like.  He loved the teacher.  His favorite thing about camp was meeting his new friend Oliver.  He is now recognizing letters in our world (street signs, etc.).
Thank you so much for everything …”

After our 2 hour workshop with Melissa I went to our Headmaster, Ray Michaud, at The John Thomas Dye School and said, " That was the best professional development money we have ever spent!"  Melissa came with so many take away ideas and activities that we could not write them down fast enough. She  married the  scientific research and knowledge with practical hands on ways to implement the ideas in the classroom immediately.  Her enthusiastic delivery and interactive elements made the workshop fly by and our teachers were inspired to make new handwriting centers even though we were two days away from the start of school. As an administrator I am so happy that we have a common language amongst our lower school teachers and that our students have the opportunity to benefit from the ideas learned at this meaningful workshop.

Child Success is Amazing! The entire staff is energetic and dedicated to helping all the children succeed and reach their goals. I am so happy my 5 year old daughter is at CSC! Danielle has made such progress in connecting appropriately with her peers, and getting the tools to help her with her anxiety. I highly recommend CSC!!

Melissa's Temperament Workshop at the Early Childhood Center of Leo Baeck Temple was a big success. Parents were very grateful that we offered such an amazing workshop for them.
Melissa was very knowledgeable, professional and very informative. Her interaction with parents was very open and approachable; therefore, parents felt comfortable asking questions and making comments.

Hi Melissa,

So your ears must have been burning this weekend! My friend and neighbor was over and raving about how great you’ve been with her daughter (who my older son goes to preschool with.) Then on Sunday at a birthday party, you came up again. This time Nancy was singing your praises in regards to her daughter. Thought you’d want to know people really think you’re amazing. See you next week.

To Whom It May Concern:

It is my pleasure to highly recommend the Child Success Center, and all the programs and services they provide, which Village School has directly benefited from for the past couple of years.
As the Curriculum Director, I’ve had many opportunities to work with the Child Success Center. We have invited them for professional development for our teachers, hired them to work one on one with one of our teachers developing the fine motor component of an early childhood classroom, had team meetings with them regarding specific children, and recommended their speech and language, occupational, and educational therapy services. Most recently, the Child Success Center was hired to perform all of our TK-2nd grade speech and language screenings. I enjoyed working with such a professional staff. Scheduling was convenient and the therapists were always on time. It was a positive experience for the children, the recommendations were appropriate, and the service provided met the needs of both the teachers and the parents.
In addition to my professional relationship with the Child Success Center, I first became acquainted with them in spring of 2006, when my then 5 year old daughter needed speech therapy. The evaluation was thorough, the therapy sessions were “fun” for my daughter, we were given appropriate directives on how we can help at home, and soon thereafter, therapy was no longer needed. The diagnosed problem was officially rectified, in the estimated time given at the beginning.
Melissa Idelson, owner of the Child Success Center, is a dedicated, passionate educator. Not only is she first vested in what is in the child’s best interest, but in her staff’s professional development as well. She sets high standards her herself, her team, and her center.
I wholeheartedly recommend the Child Success Center for any needed services. Please do not hesitate to contact me, if I can be of further assistance.
Sincerely,

Kim DeMarchi
Curriculum Director, Village School

There's nobody who understands the complexity of the "whole child" better than Melissa Idelson.  Her vision to provide different types of services for children who experience learning issues under one roof is of course brilliant, because we all know that learning issues aren't often expressed singularly. The model of "the learning tree" enables students, parents and teachers to understand the interconnections amongst the necessary components for effective learning.  All teachers deserve to have the picture of the whole child drawn for them so that they can more effectively help each and every learner in their classrooms.

To Whom It May Concern:

For several years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with Melissa Idelson, founder and director of the Child Success Center. Melissa and her incredibly skilled and dedicated staff have supported the Crossroads Elementary School in innumerable ways. Our school families and faculty have reaped the enormous benefits of our successful collaborations.

Hallmarks of the partnership include competently crafted assessments, highly effective ongoing communication with teachers and administrators, generous parent consultations and access to fine occupational, educational and speech and language therapists. Additionally, Melissa Idelson has personally led parent education presentations at the school to provide valuable tools and strategies for parents.

In the past year, the Child Success Center has moved and grown and opened new possibilities for students at our school. The Center established its first non-profit foundation offering several qualifying students free and reduced-fee services. Melissa’s philanthropic spirit spearheaded this endeavor. Her fantastic therapists earnestly contributed to the community spirit of supporting these students and families.

As a school administrator, I could not feel more satisfied and assured that our students are being carefully seen and served. I wholeheartedly commend Melissa and her wonderful practitioners for the very important work that they do.

Sincerely,

Ilene Silk

-“Dearest Melissa,

Thank you!   Last night's workshop was wonderful.  You, of course, were outstanding and gave us so much to think about.  The teachers left enthused and excited.  They were chatting about ways to use/adapt what they already had in the classrooms and what they would want to add.

Many thanks for a terrific and productive workshop!!!”

Best,
